A New Rule is in Effect...

As of now, a new rule is in effect. Recently, many spambots have been joining the forum. We ask that you do not respond to these spambots unless it is completely necessary. They are programmed to make topics, and that is it. Please do not tell them to leave, as they cannot respond to you and they are not an actual person. If you notice a link posted by a spambot contains a virus, please post. However, if you post in a spambot topic with no reason, you will be PMed with a warning. Please just report spambot advertisements when you see them. The above rule is in effect. It will be added to the universal rules when Excal gives JA's the right to edit in the Rules and Regs forum.

I don't think they are retarded so much as they don't know that it is a spambot or they don't know what a spambot is. I don't reply to spambots, though.

You can tell it is a spambot if it has filled out a website, occupation, interest, ICQ number, and has a location like "USA" or "United States".
For example,
obviously a spambot.

To some extent, but I think it's time to start cracking down on this kind of thing. It's just really unnecessary.
