I am trying to organize a thing where there is a server up on friday nights for people to play "The Mod of the Week". I will choose the mod. The thing is i cannot host because my router is messed up and no one can join(anyone no y?). so i will need someone who can host 16 people.

There will be a password on the server so some random person doesnt come in and mess it up.

tell me if u can host! AIM, PM, MSN, or e-mail me about it.

I have a router and I can host. Are you on wireless? If you are you need to open some ports. But my halo came with the ports already open. Just ease dropping here to give you some info.

also, you might have to use port forwarding on your router for port 2302.

most likly because either ur computer or router has a built in firewall, but ur not going to be able to get many to join, the lag would be horrendous without a dedicated server, even then a dedicated server on a home connection will still only hold 4-8 people.

it wouldnt be me hosting, it would be someone with a T1 connection. but anyways i need to know who all is coming so people dont think that they are left out. like sign up here by tell me that you are going to play. also tell me the name you use for Halo.

a rouder drops all connections trying to access it...so they can't access u...

trust me, it's not a security hazard. only like 3% of haxors (including me) are smart enuff to use the marvel of a port scanner, and chances are that if you had the built in windows firewall or other open, it would defer about 90% of haxors (noobs). so it wouldn't be a problem.
