Since it has been a few weeks, I thought it might be interested to see what mods people have been working on during the downtime (if any).
I've been working on Prometheus most of the time. You can read more about it at
www.halodev.org.

my cousin dropped by on vacation, i got my pc set up with all the apps i'll ever need (3ds, photoshop, ...) and i've been working on some low-poly models for games that, i think, are pretty decent. i'd texture them but photoshop seems to be broken (it freezes on "loading fonts" and won't go away...even after ending the process & such)
maybe i'll, in a bit, re-learn halo ce mapmaking and have some fun ( i think i'll make some pretty awesome maps) and possibly even inject the models mentioned earlier as vehicles.
the model pics will be in the modeling forums within the next 3 weeks (pc access waiting time) and hopefully, later on, a short animation.

Well, here's what I've been up to. Tags at bottom of page;
Cryobay;
Main room. Blue base.
Here you can see the Blue base room. using a modified a10-a bsp, Cryobay lets you relive the first Halo mission, but with 15 other people. This multiplayer map has some new features not see in any other maps.
One of which, can be seen here. A
working Shield recharger. Actually, it isn't a shield recharger anymore, obviously that would be useless. By walking into it, it will activate and act as a health pack, gently nursing you back to full working status
. (Also, I just placed it there so you could see some dynamic lighting
)
Just a closer look at some of the details. These bitmaps ARE NOT FINAL. I hope to work together with Silence/Halo2rules to create some new ones. He already did some, and they are absolutely
amazing. If you want to see what they look like, fire up Cario Station on Halo 2
. (Grenade tossing animation, that's why you don't see the left arm.)
As out faithful Elite biped demonstrates (Not in final, I forgot to change him back to the mc in globals >_<), the doors are proximity activated, so a guaranteed sync. Also, you can see some reworked particle systems (steam from vent).
And that's it for Cryobay! Now onto our next one..
TheMaw;
You know you want to....*coughs* anyways, The Maw Multiplayer is based off of the second installment of "The Maw" in singleplayer. Here you can see the bridge, Red base. From the rough landing, almost all of the bridge was destroyed. None the less, parts do remain. (You can shoot the screen out as well...)
However, partial power has been restored, allowing for lighting, electrical power to doors, and enough for those little "extras".
Including the Caf

Vegito619: I REALLY like that coag background. Could you please post it because i would really like to put that on my copy of coag. Also if its not much trouble, point me in the direction of a tut or something that shows how to apply backgrounds to maps. Thanks bro.

Working on a computer...trying to set up Linux on it...also been at Bungie trying to convince people that modding can be good. I think I did a good job, people are starting to agree, and I started a big ass post about modders should defend their reputation. Of courrse, it was locked, but people got the point.
Also bought the 3ds max 7 bible, been playing Half Life 2 and garys mod....
Also cooking up a Halo CE map! Darkstorm, can I use that hummer? lol.
