i had an idea for a new gametype: Destruction.
Have it so each base has some sort of precious object on their base, and it is shielded by a super strong forcefield, inpenetrable by normal firearms or explosives.
In the middle of the map is a control panel(like the ones for energy bridges on SP), and the player's team must get to it before the enemy, and it is also hard to get to. When a team finally presses it, the other team has five minuites to get to it, and deactivate it.
If it stays on for five minuites, the team that pressed it wins the game. As the game ends, a cinematic could come on of a HUGE airstrike of tank shells or fuel rod projectiles(mabye from a covie dropship or longsword bomber?), blowing up the object on the loser's base.
