HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Has anyone ever formally thanked the original few modders for starting this site? Without them none of you would ever have any idea how to mod halo, much less do map rebuilding and SP to MP conversions. When Halo came out, nobody had any idea that any of this was possible. A few rouge souls came and started tinkering with the idea of customizing the game to bend to thier will. I remember a story about IronForges first mod, he injected a new bitmap using a hex editor, that takes a little bit of skill and initiative only these pioneers have shown. Think about how lost you all would be without the offset lists, ADI, HMT, HHT, you wouldnt have a snowballs chance in hell of making halo do your bidding! So I for one thank the original founders of this site for starting such a great idea in our minds.

P.S. Whaddya say about getting a classic map pack goin? All the oldies but goodies we've all but forgotten?

Yeah I too thank all the modders.....I wouldn't have ever thought that making skins and teleporters would be possible.....

cause theyve been here forever. uve only been here for about 1 month so u definatly wouldnt know. i also believe that nitrousoxide made the first halo pc mod didnt he? also, who made the first halo mods at all? Gren?prolly not cause someone had to have given him an idea to make this site

Waddya think about a map pack? Any submissions?

Someone thought of a halo pc mod before grens time.....That must've been like a few months after halo for pc came out.

Pfhorslayers got Gren into Halo modding. Pfhorslayers was working on the mapfile structure and when Gren saw this it got him intrested in Halo modding.

That's what it was if i remember correctly. On the old site there was an interveiw with Grenadiac telling all this stuff. Must have gotten deleted durring the move or something (back when HM was on a different host).

yeah i remember the old halomods. u know if u fond some halomods links on google it is still the old halomods. its pretty kool. i have been here for onlt about 2 months on serious modding but ive admired mods for about a year now from this site

no duh u did. were u even here wen the first halo 2 mod was made? it was by Zenofex at hxbdev.org with zanzibar banshee and br shoots tank missles. it was released before halo even was

Lol, I was here about a month after halo 2 came out and started posting like 2 weeks later.
