Heh. I checked out HaloMods again because we're all playing Halo CE over LAN at my college. But this... terrible news. I was here very early on, and I've seen the community develop in many different ways. I do not want to see HaloMods die. We need to breathe new life into the community - new modding developments perhaps.
I'd donate if I could, but I'm almost in debt as it is. All I can say is, this place means something to me. I'd hate to see it just die. I wish I could help.

Well, I hear BlueHost servers are reliable, fast and insanely cheap...

These sites are a joke...It's a vhosted server, which will never work for HM...They offer you all that because they know you'll never use it...And if you do, they politely ask you to find another host, and refund your money...It's the same old ploy of them offering 15,000 for the cost someone else offers you 5,000, when they both know you'll use 200, and thus can offer it to you dirt cheap...Trust me, I've known lots of people who run these hosting services...xzodia wrote:Yes, I have read the topic actually...

Remember the old adage, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is...

Found one more hosting offer I believe to be better than the first although, ThePlanet.com is one of the most reliable providers I know.
Specs:
Proccessor: Intel Xeon Quadcore Kentsfield
RAM: 1GB
Operating System: Redhat Fedora 64 Bit
(Additional Operating Systems are available for an additional setup fee but no extra monthly cost.)
Storage: 250GB
Bandwidth: 4 Mbps (1300GB/Throughput) burstable to 100Mbps
This plan is very customizable. Check out this link to see if it meets your requirements.

omg people are spamming useless hosting plans.
halomods is no BUM whos searching for ANY home.
halomods is some kind of rich bich needs something good.
these donatings are helping him for about a month.
we should hurry up finding a solution.
it hurts to see him loosing his money for us.
i would say find new host or shut down.
dont give it away.

The plans I suggested should be adequate for halomods needs. I understood halomods needs about 250 GB of storage and at least 1GB of memory for your server. All of my suggestions also include Xeon Dual Core processors which should have enough power to take on the load put on by this website.xheadshotmastax wrote:omg people are spamming useless hosting plans.
They also decrease the monthly price by about $100 or so, I'm not sure of the exact amount.
I don't see how I have gone wrong. Please direct me here.
