nice one Gren, would be cool if in ur 'other' programs you could just draw in the lightmaps like in sapien, or even adjust the brightness of them, saving 15 bitmaps of tantalising paranoidic work.

not quite interactive lighting and shadows? darn, sounds neat tho (if i understood it that is lol)

Wow Gren, thats awesome. but what exactly will we be able to do with it? change the way the light hits the map? or make custom light (other than preset beams)?

If this was to be added to a newer sparky is it possable to be used as a tool or just make the maps look better?

No, it just loads the lightmaps with the textures, making it look realer.

please please explain us how the light maps works , I need to fix some radiosity problems in sapien , And I dont know why....

not diferent smooth group.... only diferent uv

If you look at the other post on lightmaps, you'll see its for both, PC, and Xbox.

Another layer of texture that controls lighting.

See if you look at a map with Sparkedit now, you won't see the shadows, and the bright spots on the map, but with lightmaps loaded with the textures, everything has its own light section.
