Lol, if you think about it, USA is the biggest space power in the world, so it figures that they speak English. And the Euro dudes also speak English, so that like half the world, all the civilied world.

1. Aren't China and Japan civilezed?
2. Russia, the second most powerful space country, speaks russian
3. Then again, it is in the future and they did say something about the world being united under one government
4. If the civilized world only includes the USA and europe, then well over 60% of the world is un-civilized

Other guy??? Im just saying, if humanity conquers other planets and such, NASA and/or the ESA will probably be the ones to do it. Sorry bout the China and Japan thing, Japan is civilized, but China is mostly not (majority of country lives out where they dont have anything but huts!).
