No idea what it stands for cause im in and out of this forum every once and a while. I just noticed i got the prye one today. I have an odd idea behind it but i cant base it on anything. Wonder if you can get it for creating a "hot topic"

When compared to the Halo Photography section having 274 pages, 5460 replies, and 209659 views, then 10 pages doesn't seem like enough to me (but what do I know?).

It was just a guess.

I'm pretty sure that nobody knows the correct amount.

Ok so i'm pretty confident to agree that the pyre and related are from having a topic that has had enough views. What concerns me on that idea though is that, *after 15 minutes of researching* I noticed that not everyone that had a topic with over let's say around 20,000 views has acquired the emblem. So either we are wrong still or the "emblem giver" has not reached each individual deserving this. Then my guess is that when this individual has multiple topics over 20,000 views then he get's another chevron...either that or a certain amount over 20,000. I noticed a couple people had a higher chevron and they had a topic over like 100,000 views. xbox7887 is a prime example. His screen cap package had over 100,000 views and he has the third chevron.

Users I've found that *if our idea is correct* deserve the emblem:

Voyde
Explosive American
Xavier
Lightning
Pacifica

Halo 2 Rules!!

The list goes on but i'm not going to point out every single one. So what's your guys' take on this idea now?

Note* The more people I find without the emblem the less and less i'm thinking that "hot topics" is the right idea...

Ok, I'm going to tell people to possibly stop thinking so extremely symbolically...Yes, its fire, its name is pyre, lets just go through filenames and emblems to see if they relate symbolically:

columnist: the 7th column is a community thing of Bungies am I right/ (I'm really not too sure)...Yes this is a community site, but the people that have it don't really post that much do they?

Yes it is possible to tie the names with their true meaning (if you know what they actually mean) but its generally quite vague. The image generally has nothing to do with it...Except being pretty

So yeah, I could go on, but I won't...But this is arguing against the "hot topics" one...The water one I'm also inclined to be against being about creating an impact on the community...Why? tjc2k4 and the swampfox. These two did heaps for modding, swampfox for halo 1 AND 2. To give swamp 2 chirvons and tjc no emblem would be crazy! And the person who gives oujt these emblems clearly know what they're doing (unless the above people get added soon) as so many people have them already.

So yeah, I'm against the hot topics thing, however, I do believe it is a general forum achievement... Not something specific, say, halo 2 modding as clearly a whole bunch of people have it...Now I don't mean to be too rude to mister forge (using an assumption) but I don't think he knows everyone here and their modding ways that well

Plus, with myself having 3 chirvons then it'd have to go with hype factor rather than skill factor coz I'm not that good a modder

What is something that's general around here that we know we're good at (depending on chirvon count I mean) that isn't view count...Chad has the largest thread in this forum (that I know of) and if he doesn't have 3, then its definatley not it... Plus, forge has 3...Forge doesn't post much...Once more, I don't create kool topics. PERHAPS ITS THE AMOUNT OD PERIODS WE USE? I do "..." a lot...and so does Forge!

And what of the water?

I don't like the new emblems, they look too "dramatic" and they don't fit in with the others.

Here designed an application to make it easier to find whos got what emblem..

I called it Pepper.. Couldn't think of anything at the time, so I just took that from your name Sgt.Peppers. Sure you won't mind..

It searches a bit slow, but that's the trade-off when not having direct access to the forum database.. this instead goes through a bit of a "hacky" job =x

If you think the app could do with any updates then post and I'll look into it when I'm not busy.

Download removed, new version up.
