Does anyone have any idea of how long Iron Forge's site is going to be down for??? Need....demo.....OFFSETS!!!!

I have no ETA for when it will return, or if it will...The requirements for it somewhat exceed what is given by the free hosts out there (as its become much more database driven since it began)...And these databases are far from small...

Where it was, was free for me, hosted by a friend who was kind enough to share with me, so theres definatly no hostility involved...And because this is just a hobby for me, I have no intentions of paying for a host capable of handling my site, for something as trivial as offset lists...

Just keeping you all informed, its been fun while it lasted...

Sounds to me like Iron_Forge's site is gone for a very long time unless someone hosts it for him free. You may be able to get the offset lists from someone around here, though.

Here's a suggestion: I don't know how to go about setting it up, but if someone has the offset lists in a RAR, we could pass it around on bittorrent or something.

I do have a suggestion to Iron Forge... http://spaceports.com/ looks as if it has good free hosting... although I haven't looked at the small print.

Grenadiac has kindly offered to give me some space on his server...Free hosting on the internet won't work for my site, because it relies heavily on both php and MySQL...Free sites that work with both of those, and the 30MB I require of space, are not readily available...

The site will be back up sooner or later...Just takes time...

yeah, spaceports is good, but only gives you 20mb, and no mySQL till it seems u have to pay.. but not bad none the less

and i can host the other 10 on another free acount on spaceports (dont know if it requires diff ip's to create acounts..) but i give u the password rite after i registered one.. or any free place

Ok... I've come up with a plan... (I dont care if u thought of this already). Iron_forge.... why dont you just make a simplistic, temporary website that just has offsets on it. If you need hosting I could host your temp. site. (no php or mysql)

I make a quick site that has all the offsets,values ect.
I only have Single Player Missions but tomorrow I will try and get the MP maps.
Go to www.halocentral.alturl.com and then click on the Offset Button Thing

i think tripod.com is a good hosting server yes it is free but i think it has enough space cuz my dad has a site and its got lots o pictures on there and there really high quality so maby that would be a good site if not for Iron_Forge the mabye for someone else im pretty shure its free or at least like 5$ per month i think
