halo[pc] 1.04 patch has been released

overall patching is good, but it sucks now beacause if you update to play online, you wont be able to play online, or at least on the good servers, because they are only 1.03 servers! damnit, i kick myself! but i hosted my own, but on dsl it was laggy but we played, cuz its worth it, it was the only friggin server that you could play, but anyway, i dont think the patch had hek with it, of course not, it was a 5mb patch

things that are different in halo now:
main and only thing(that i saw), is that it now shows where you flag is when the enemy has it, it flashes a little flag logo of your color , the only catch is you have to be in direct line of sight, wont go through walls. THIS IDEA SUCKS! why did they do this, breaks strategy of hiding when both teams have the flag! omg gearbox or whover released that idea, take it back! make a 1.05 patch to remove it!

Halo PC Security Hot Fix

Within the next hour, a special hot fix is being released for Halo PC via the auto-update system. In order to play with the updated clients, all Halo PC dedicated servers will need to be updated as well. Here are the official release notes:

Gamespy Secuirty Hot-Fix for Halo PC and Halo PC Dedicated Server

The GameSpy Security Hot-Fix for Halo PC addresses a rare crash bug that could occur if a malicious individual (hacker) purposely tried to exploit the GameSpy CDKey SDK. This Hot-Fix changes the version number of Halo PC and Halo PC Dedicated Server to 1.04 from 1.031.

The updated version of the dedicated server can be downloaded HERE. The actual game update will be applied automatically the next time you attempt to play online.

Please keep in mind that it will take some time for all of the Halo PC server admins to upgrade their servers. Until this happens, you may encounter problems when trying to join a server still running the older version. Things should return to normal once the update gets circulated throughout the community.

All of the BUNGIE servers have already been updated and are available for play.
