but as I said that doesn't work. Last week I had like 87 posts, but some old messages got deleted which effectively cut my post count in half renedering me a "n00b" and inactive, which I am far from. Unless the number of posts is saved as a hard copy as posts are made, otherwise postcounts can vary from day to day as old threads get deleted. And don't say post more in more threads as a counter. I only post in threads where I feel the need to add something constructive, meaning I may only make 1 or 2 posts per day. Spamming only kills threads and that only gets them deleted quicker and post counts reduced faster.a_baby_seal wrote:right, but we could do what u did and have another post count server thingy. and the post count will help determine who isnt active
Wanna define the n00b's/inactives from the rest of us, read what ppl say. the noobs post worthless stuff, like "first post yay!!" the genuine posters actually comment on the thread topic and give constructive opinions and stuff. lol.. all this rambling over something as isignifigant as a little number lol. My point is, a post count on a forum where old/inappropriate threads are removed is pointless, and not worth the effort.

I am noob myself but not really an annoying one and i think its fine for noobs to ask questions cause thats how most people learn they ask. Yes it does get annoying but like someone said b4 every1 was a noob at 1st. And if u guys just help them and answer their questions Nicely then they will leave every1 alone.
Oh ya and b4 i forget Stop quoting others its really annoying!!!!!

Also, i've seen this implemented at the suprnova.org forums, they had a huge problem with noobs and crap filling up and generally wasting space, so, tthey put everyone into the "noob" group, where there was only the intorductions forum open to veiw, once you had logged in and made 3 posts, you were put back into normal veiwabillity or all the forums and etc, and eventually i think that once that thing had been in place for a vertian period of time, those who were still of the "noob" status were deleted or soemthing like that, cuase they had not visited in so long.. etc.. it was just not worth it...
o.. BTW.. i have notived lots of people in the halo PC forum not ppfing there maps, i know it starts to add up spacewise and all just an FYI.
Ha, this is nothing, you should see another forum I know of (Not related to Halo, rather related to Robotics) It has as of now, 6,905 Members, 22,409 Threads, and 243,924 Posts. Need I say more?Banshee Ace 2 wrote:yes... we must bann all noobs... we have over 5000 member - most of them cosist of noobs. ban them. there other day some were making useless topics in the halo ce section. they should be banned asap

Just a disclaimer - I'm not joining the big quote thing...
Read my disclaimer, I am not, I repeat Not starting a quote fest lol
... but there was bigger, in a halo 2 wall paper thread in pisctures, it was a true monster of a thread. It was promptly deleted. Now, I doubt Gren will delete his own thread... but I'd advise against quote spamming it...Ollie wrote:Biggest quote ack I've ever seen.
