BADSMILEY

Four Atlantians remain and they fight for the last piece of Atlantis.

The map is completely underwater and the metal has been changed to wood.
The shields, ghost, and warthog have been moved.
The chine-gun turret is on all game types

I am using this for another actual mod im making.... shh

meh...the skinning under water is pretty bad, the under water from the orignal map is still there and throws it off, and it basicly just looks extremly unfinished i give it 2/10 :(

The skin doesn't match up so well, the colors are way to different but I can tell your getting the hang of skinning.
Hope to see more  .

OK this skin is going to be on my next mod so i wanted to know how good it is and what about it needs tweeking, how to make it better, i dont see anything bad about it other than the fact that no vehi or weap are skinned.

You want to know what needs tweaking? Start with the main textures. The sea floor texture is horrible, and so is the texture you used for the structures.

I would suggest changing those.

Well I would use a more realistic texure for the wood, give it a more "woody" look and add some nice bumps, for the ground texture I would use something like old mossy rock or find a nice coral texture.
And good luck with the next skin.

I like your idea BADSMILEY, but you should change the skin color of the sand (Green Ground). Try looking up Atlantis on the internet, you might find some cool things.

P.S Try making the Relic building looking like rome theam, becouse IMO that should look like the Atlantis building's, before it was sunk ands nevered found... :P

I don't mean by any means to be rude in saying this, but it went from very bad to horrible. I'm not sure what sort of a theme you're going for here. Were the "wooden" base to be buried underwater, the wood would not have such a clean and sharp look and gloss to it. Your wood still looks like metal. A simple shader swap can fix that. Also, you NEED custom bumps on your wood. Wood, without bumps, looks like little more than a smoothe tabletop with no bump mapping.

I suggest also that you skin everything on the tower. There are huge areas there that are left unskinned. There is no point in skinning a map 50% and releasing it just because you get excited about what you've done. Take the time and finish the project.

Also, PLEASE DO NOT inject textures with seams! There is nothign more damaging to a skin than textures with seams (or severely tiled textures). I have made a tutorial a while back to fix the seams. USE IT. It will help you out in so many ways. When you get that down, you can make any texture into a usable, seamless texture for your skins.

The Tutorial: http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=45202
Yes, I wrote it, but just becaue I was tired of seeing seams in skins. I'm not trying to "float my boat" or try to make myself look like I have any room to talk or anything. I'm just trying to help you out.

In all, though, thanks for skinning. I appreciate the time and effort you've put into this skin and look forward to more of your work in the future. We all get better the more we do it, so keep it up.
