The text is horrendous.
Which seems to be the only thing really added to it.

Meh, it was a quickie manip. I just threw the text at it. The scans were put there cause I thought it felt empty. I think the only thing I did was a gradient map, overlay layer, and some lighting effects. (Plus the scans and text)

Remove the lines and the text, then wash out the lighting a bit. The original image is alright, so keep what you have base wise, then fix your lighting to compliment it.
