Eh? HDR isn't about making it supersaturated. One normal exposed photo, one underexposed photo, and one over exposed photo. (all of these taken on a tripod so they are aligned the same)
Then you insert these photos into an HDR Program, such as CS2/3, or Photomatix.
It then generates an HDR Image, then you edit with CS2/3 and done!
