Yeah, life was pretty messed up at the time. I had one of those computer addiction things, due to a nasty depression, that ruined my whole social life. That's another story. But I stayed inside the house all day and chatted on forums, made GFX, etc.
But yeah, I won't say anything about HaloMods, but I can tell ya, it always was better in the beginning days. But that's just standard with web communities. Look at the last days of GSOF. Was it good? Not a chance.
I took thing to personally, and I wanted to help out. Nobody heard me, and I cared. For example, me and Yomama used to spam and flame together at night.
Then he became moderator, and I started running HMC. Things didn't go as I wished. Such as GSOF. I regret it, but I was a moron. I killed it by not doing the right things.
Anyways, it all comes down to, that I was pretty young at the time, I was immature. I went from kid to almost adult in just a few years. So yeah, things are very different.
I used to be in contact with very many people. Then I really wanted to escape to the real world. I basically disconnected myself from this whole computer thing, delete all contacts, stopped going to forums, etc.
It kinda stinks now, I try to setup a website, or try to do something, and I'm a fish out of water.
But yeah, I'm pretty much out of my depression days, I got straight A's this semester. I held over 100% in all my classes, and then on finals (when I was very tired) I just did average, because I could still fail all of them, and get straight A's. I return to the computer during breaks and vacations.
Anyways, nowadays, I'm into Halo machinima. I'm producing a super awesome Halo machinima with one of my friends. We've been carefully working on this for a good year and a half. We really got a lot of stuff figured out. But the reason I'm here, is because I need some cool stuff, such as mods for my machinima. I'm planning for some super sweet scenes, but I need stuff, like a BSP conversion of a city map. And a whole bunch of other things. So I'm trying to roam the forums and pick up any info.
But again, I'm all alone, and I'm like a new person. Back in the day, I could have talked to Yomama, or some other cool person, and they could have hooked me up with some super modder. Heh.
Well yeah...
Oh and Deomitrus is my new alias. I thought I needed something a bit more original. Plus I wanted Deomitrus to be a unique result when searched on Google.
And that's about it. I guess I'm quite a memorable one. I always did things in a very unique way.
So, while we're at it... anyone care to help me in my endeavors?
EDIT: Oh, yeah, almost forgot. I'm doing the Sentinel Machinima Awards, which is basically an awards program, that was intended to continue what Rockets on Prisoner started. You should see that go live in a few days.
