Emo is punk. At my school there really is no difference between what you would call punk and emo. In fact none of the emos at my school, self included, act "emo". We wear the girl pants and all that but we dont wear eye shadow and make shitty poems about death and destruction and cut ourselves. Thats the goths, the goths do that.

thats what we would call a prep. And yes jks, there is a difference. Emos, primarily wear dark clothing, with that one bit of hair over thier eye. Punks however, usually wear a bomber jacket, and dickies jacket, with patches of their favorite bands. (I myself have a black Dickies jacket, with Iron Cross buttons, and Exploited Patch on the elbows, and an adicts patch on the back. Emos, unlike punks, call themselves punks, but are rejected by punks. They do not associate themselves with Goths, because the Goths would kick the crap out of them. So, wmos, being rejected by everyother group, decieded to collect themselves at 2 places. By the office Under the Walkway at my school and on Myspace.

Since then, Punks have moved in to stake their claim. Therefore, all ye emos are no longer safe  ...

But youre not a punk, but a confessed emo. So you must be the Preppy Emo. With the tight(not stitched, kinda girly)pants with holes in it, and the funky jacket that a 8 year old girl wears in different variations of pastel colors.....

Grunge Is Probably more to current definitions, emo. Plaid is dead. Some people in our punk group do like some grunge,But Grunge has basicly dissappeared. Grtunge has been split amongst punks and emos at our school.
