Well, as you guys know, SOTW just ended with quite a stunning tie. I lost, but I was hoping to get at least some comments on the style I went with in making the Sig. As most of you know, sigs are hardly my thing, so I wanted to do something unique with the better size options we were allowed to use. The Render itself is straight out of the game, but the Keyblade and everything else were either painted or drawn by me, so I wanted to match the render style as best I could. Originally I had a neat sky going on, but since the SOTW them was "pop-out", I was left with the task of figuring out a way to follow the rules and be true to the Kingdom Hearts art-style as well. Ultimately, I think it turned out pretty nice, so I'm satisfied, but I wanted to hear what you guys thought since I haven't posted a sig here in... quite a long time.
Boom:
Kingdom Hearts Sig (From SOTW)
Re: Kingdom Hearts Sig (From SOTW)
I haven't played KoH, so I can't comment on the theme. The edge of the beach and the edge of the sunrays are very choppy. I like how the sunrays appear through the water. My general impression is that of a rough pencil drawing.

Also, the key doesn't fit the style that he's drawn in. Or at least the perspective seems off, and it doesn't have an outline like he does. I can't tell if it looks flat or weirdly angled, or what, but it just looks wrong.

I was going to say that too but i didn't feel like editing my post again. Also, the key doesn't fit the style that he's drawn in.
It looks as though you drew the background by hand, then cut and pasted the key in.
