What should I do to make this planet look good instead of like shit?

note: this is not the whole scene, just the planet.

Give your clouds some depth. Make land more landish.

Are you going for a realistic look or a personal artistic look?

You can try adding the blue "glow" surrounding the planet that created a atmosphere.

I already have a light blue glow around it.
Also, I'm having some problems with saving in photoshop.
On my sister's profile it takes about 2 seconds for the save box to came up and save the file. But on my profile it takes 5 minutes (I'm not exaggerating either) just to pop up, then I have to wait for all of the files and folders to show up in the directory that it is exploring. Any ideas?

Yes you probably have a huge document open. i.e.: The document is at 32 Bit or you are working at a huge resolution, which would cause the computer to slow down dramatically if you don't have sufficient RAM.

I only 712 mb of ram with a 32 bit processor (old computer) but photoshop is only taking up about 43%.
Nothing else is open or running above 0%

If you're starting off with space scenes, you could have a look at this tutorial.

Again, it's probably because you are working with a large canvases/resolution. If your computer is of the older generation it will likely seize up whilst trying to perform at Photoshop's high processing demands.

I love how the moon is like the planet's twin.

Other than that, I like it.
