this is my first mod its almost dun only the skinning left to do so tell me if it looks cool also the light maps is nulled and if i put it back the map dosent work if someone could tell me why it would be appreciated tanks

Dude i'll give you one good piece of advice.

Keep it coming this is really good for a first but try modding inside a theme, that way it will be that much sweeter when it's finished now it doesn't really have a theme so i'll give you a 8,5/10 for your first mod, try something with fog and fire as an example or like forests and ghost and that kinda stuff.
What helped me alot in modding was writting down what i thought and then modded my thoughts into a map.
Besides that i would say fairly good job for a starter.

Either there's no lightmap, or I don't like the lightmap.

However, it looks pretty decent for a first mod. I like the scenery, and it looks like you gave a good placing for every object on the map.

tanks for the comments guys i will keep working on it but if some one knows why my map freez when i put the lightmap i would be nice to help me so tanks again for the good comments

It's probably corrupted. You could try opening a clean coagulation, renaming the lightmap of that clean map to something such as "clean_lightmap". Then extract it recursively, then inject it into your map. Then swap it out in...oh shoot, where's it located..? the bsp..I think.

It should be the scenario.

Also, rick, did you null the lightmap in the first place? Or after you realised your map wasn't loading?

k i try to rename it but after entity alwas gives me an error when i try to extract it or the map wont open enymore whit entity

I remember a long time ago, I nulled the lightmap, and when I reset the dependency, it always froze. Perhaps this is your problem.

well i still cant fixe the lightmap and also i have a question can someone explain me in details how to create a patch for my map cause why i create it and aplie it the map is not the same size as the modded one and it also frezz at the main menu when it finish loading

rofl omg i needed that but seriously good job for a first its good to be able to add new things to a map without corrupting it. BTW i guess its cause of the lightmap issues but i like the look of the scarab or did u skin???? either way good job and keep modding and ask if you need anything everyone is willing to help, well now a days anyway

no the vehicules will be skins and the other stuff are shader swaps like the scarab

Map seems nice, a bit random but I guess that's fine. If you moved some things around in the BSP viewer and gave a reason for those fires it would turn out pretty good.
