High Resolution Bitmaps

I have created some high resolution bitmaps for Halo 2. These bitmaps can be used to add higher detail textures to custom models, as well as high detail map skins.
The bitmaps come in formats of DXT 1, DXT 2/3, and DXT 4/5 in both 1024x1024 and 2048x2048.

This is a list of the formats and how much file size they will add to your map labeled in blue.

Bitmaps: 1024x1024
  • DXT 1: 0.5Mb
  • DXT 2/3: 1.0Mb
  • DXT 4/5: 1.0Mb
Bitmaps: 2048x2048
  • DXT 1: 2.0Mb
  • DXT 2/3: 4.0Mb
  • DXT 4/5: 4.0Mb
Just save them from these maps I have supplied and build them into your map.
And if you need extras of the same format, you can just duplicate their tags...

Note: The 1024x1024 are best suited for gameplay. The 2048 are more of a proof of concept.

I assume you would need that format for HUD bitmaps. If so then high res bitmaps would not only be non-useful but would take up an unnecessary amount of space.

Besides, I need Entity for the creation of these high res bitmaps and it can even extract/inject that format.

Edit: Wait, I know of a way I can create a bitmap of that format but I will try it later...
