This abandoned brute relay station is now the heat of battle between Elites and Humans. Pick your side.


STORY:

This facility, once controlled by the brutes is now a battle between the elites and humans. This abandoned relay station once was the Brutes' primary communication sync between Earth and other planets outside the solar system. The antenna was bombarded with meteorites, and along with it were some of the brutes. This facility has long since been inactive. Its only guards are the unfortunate brutes left dead from the meteors.

What has been done:
  • MC is ODST
  • Elite is Ranger Elite
  • New skin for BSP
  • Ragdoll physics added for realism
  • New lightmap
  • Two new grenades: Satchel and Spiker
  • New weapon: Brute Spiker (taken from Underbrush, with permission)
  • Dead brutes throughout the map
  • Customised weapons
  • Got rid of fog and rocks outside of map. (Thanks to Zeno117 for doing that!)
  • Got rid of banshee
  • New mod name
  • Fix objectives (flag, oddball, etc...) so ODST and ranger can use it


WEAPONS:

This is your starting weapon. "Fires deadly exploding spikes that will attach to an enemy and detonate. Also, has higher melee damage. (New Model by Doom and skin by Conscar) "

Brute Plasma Rifle:

Like its cousin, the Plasma Rifle, this weapon fires superheated bolts of energy in plasma form, with enough heat to melt through a person whole. This new style is seen with red bolts, which fire faster, but overheats faster as well.

Brute Carbine:

The Brute Carbine is a three-shot burst weapon with limited ammo. It only carries two clips when you find it, but it devestating in the hands of a sniper.

Beam Rifle: (still awaiting new skin from HSM)

The Particle Beam Rifle, taken in by the brutes, has been given a new paint job to better suit their taste. The beam shots also fire red beams, but this does not alter the performance of the original gun.

Lobber:

The Lobber is a large, shotgun-style bomblet launcher. The bomblets fired are small, and almost harmless to the average personal shield. If you are hit by one, nothing big happens. If you get hit by the whole chamber, you die. The concussion of the bomblets exploding all at once will knock you down though.

Hammer of Dawn:

This device activates a signal to a sattelite, and in return the sattelite fires a massive energy pulse strong enough to tear a Warthog to shreads. The weapon doesn't work inside of buildings, or on a target inside of a building. Take care, as the energy pulse delivered is highly powerful and will probably knock down the user if he is too close.

Satchel:

This small backpack contains a short range, but highly powerful explosion. This thing has a six second timer, and will detonate at that time, regardless of what, or who, is near it.

Spike Grenade:

Just like in Halo 3, the spike grenade sticks to objects and detonates with a large, powerful explosion. Use this with care, as the explosion radius is large, and will knock down, if not kill, any unsuspecting victims.

Easter Egg:

Ok, I haven't tested the difficulty of finding the easter egg, so I will give the community until Friday of next week (One week) to find it on your own. If nobody finds it by then, I might just tell what it is. (Doesn't mean I will say how/where to find it. :wink: )

Anyway... good job on the level enviroment, it was very well done.

It looks alright. I really only like the brute spiker and spike grenade. Those OWN. Everything else is pretty good.

Did you redo MC's fp so they look like ODST's? I don't see any FP shots of the ODST's...that and why do you have Major Domo elite FP shots when they are ranger elites? I see the hands of ranger's but some of the shots show the FP of Major Domo's. Are the permutations off or am I missing something?

Scotty: I can inject scripts now, I know how. But, I tried doing scripts in this map too late. Every time I inject one in this map, it gives me the "floating MC head" thing. :oops: Don't worry though. I'm still modding. :wink:

kibito: MC's fp model looks different. I just used the Elite when I took those last pictures.

Jackson: I tried the rucksack model you showed me. It injected fine, but the bitmaps turned up corrupt. I injected new bitmaps though, and then, of course, it froze. =( I tried though, really I did. This map has had some issues with injecting stuff.

Did you increase the FOV or something? The weapons look like they're being held out at a distance with the player's arms in the way... And it looks like a lot of weapons block the reticule.

dude. if the patch isnt secured than can u please add to ur post that no one can use the spiker. thats restricted to CMT personell and to certain lucky bastards that doom allowed it to use. >.>
Also, it has come to my attention that some people have taken the spiker from my mod and may be using it as their own. If anyone ever sees a mod out anywhere on the internet that has doom's spiker and doesn't have his permission, then please report it to me, doom, and/or the mods at that site.
