Ai in Zanzibar (update ivory tower)

ok, this isn't actualy ai in zanzibar, its in zanzibars bsp. the pach is for the space station

note: there are holes in the bsp, and u have to skip the intro

i've been working on this for 2 days, and i'd like to thank everyone that helped, especialy tycko man for teaching me about the ai triggers. and ltljack for putting up with me when i got pissed of about the damn map freezing

ok this one is for ivory tower, no mach or lifts unfortunatly, but there are ai marines and johnson. if u kill the crewman that spawn in the middle quickly, the marines get angry and will try to kill u

I think of this more or getting by the fact that we can't get AI in MP yet this is just a fake imitation of the real thing but I guess kinda cool.. You can't call it AI in Zanzibar since it's not.. It's SP level with a new BSP..

hey man i put alot of work into this, lets see u do it. and it is ai in zanzibar people recognise the bsp as zanzibar, and it has the feeling of zanzibar.

this is getting lame.. the single player gameplay isnt getting any better.. 2 days of work wouldnt be enough to make a sweet singleplayer mod from a multiplayermap.. stop posting and make a nice one..

ps. paintballer it seems they made a SPECIAL emblem for you ROFL LMAO!!

edit: you think you can get MOTM awards for stuff like this? lol

Yeh your a little late on that one :wink:

Yeh I did this a while back when Entity first could move BSP's but it didnt feel real enough maybe try import all the machs and all and make it perfect!

so wat would u guys like??? and this is a real mod, the other ones were tests and stuff that i thought people would be interested in, this one is playable, there are 3 enemy elite and grunt squads to fight, and there are weapons on map

Get the enimies to respawn at certain intervals, then i'll be interested.

ok i ve just played. pretty kool that you don't have to spawn those AI with your gun like in your last mod -_- that was kinda retarded.
i see progress you make and its getting better , except
the AI's retardedness, they don't do anything but stand there and shoot a bit when you come close.
zanzibar is even more boring due to the lack of opponents (i saw elite enemy spawning inside the BSP)
none of the MACHs are actually there, and there's like still different sorts of stuff spawning from the old map which is kinda looking weird.
the marine's are like standing on the beach , nothin big.
all in all.. pretty nice for movies or something, but its a darn short one , i shot 8 enemies max.
make something big out of it, take the biggest map containment and make some sort of area where you'd have to go through.
i see no future in these kind of mods, due to the lack of AI intelligence.

yeah but they dont move.. no?

It seems they are lost on this bsp, only the floods move because they have a point of reference to follow( master chief and marines).
I think,the others bipeds dont move beacuse they have an AI much complex, like they know here are the walls and where they can be hide and reactions when the can see you.

So i am thinking that we should use the AI of a flood to make move an elite, but the only thing he do is rush to the master chief :lol:
so no tactics for the flood :roll:

i hope you can understand what i mean, i dont have much vocabulary on english to explain that easyer( i am spanish/french, yeah wreid lol)

I still believe there is potential and it basically forces the user in leanring how to create AI that will run well on the map

I thnk the name is appropirate. It is AI in Zanzibar. Great work! Btw, I havn't gotten around to play your mod, but I'm eager to. I may end up doing something like this. :)

What about trying to use/ put AI into SinglePLayerShared... has anyone tried getting working AI in that map w/o converting the bsp?
