This is my first mod (for turf) it is ok no models or skin. flying warthog, pp shoots out scarb beam and warthog. get in the warthog it starts to play the main menu music. proj swaps, html swaps, elites invincable, everyone jumps high, dont run fast, rockets shoot pelican rockets. Best play with pp and rocket map default weapons. dont start out with ghost on map. if holding pp there is a scarb up in the air. warthog shoots out this wierd green stuff.

Jump High is bad
should have tried some skins or something to because otherwise people will just think its another 5 minute mod and not bother to try it out... Also the scarab beam sounds like a little bit of overkill to me

Sounds like a 5 minute mod, though I like how you got the mainmenu music to play in the warthog.

not bad for a first mod but people in this forum r sharks. they wont be happy with anything unless you break the modding barriar and totally make an uber l33t skin with crazy effects and model changes. think about that and try to mess around with photoshop(if u have it) are some kind of modeling program. youll learn more and more and eventually you will be able to make awesome mods.

I highly encourage not to post ur first mods anymore I highly encourage taking time on ur mods dont post every single mod u make remember quality over quantity, essence of a great mod is to have a theme but it seems as if this mod doesnt have one... therefore many would mistake for a 5 min mod and thats what it looks like.... Take time on future mods and have a unique theme that is the base of a really good mod..

Please take this as constructive criticism.
I really don't understand why people make mods like these and release them. I've done several experiments with these things for learning, but none were balanced mods, nor did they add anything to the experience, so I never released them. I'm not trying to say you suck or anything, but perhaps you should learn from your experience making this mod and try to use your newfound knowledge to make something with a little more depth. Then when you've got something that makes for an enjoyable game, and not something that's just fun to goof around with for 15 minutes, release it.
Then again, it's possible my standards are set too high. I may never release a mod, because I simply can't meet those standards...

your in my position brother, the only reason i cant meet those standards is because my computer SU)(.... and I completly agree I know since the modding outbreak when everyone first learned of modding it was and is a big deal to them to post their new found knowledge but if you compare this to somthing like moon-stronghold or sunnision you'll see the diffrence
all i can say to the newbies out their is sometimes you need to set your goals a little higher for yourself.
