i feel bad about bumping but if i use this patch will it work over XBC or xlink with people who has the normal mainmenu?

No because there not in the content folders witch is where the other peoples most likely are.
Also you really cant bump a sticky.

but could somebody tell me wich folders i should create in TDATA? cause i really wanna play on Xlink with it.. i'll create the patch myself

ok problem. I created new maps using the serenity files i downloaded from other peoples modded maps. They register with the mainmenu.map and i upload the mainmenu.map and the modded maps. I get to the map select in the actual game and when it goes to load the map the screen turn black for like 1 sec and im just back at the start game screen. I dont even get a "failed to load map" message or anyhting. Anyone got any ideas or experienced this themselves??

Ye, if its just one map doing it, the map has a fatal error and that returns you to the lobby. Its fairly easy to have happen actually, since not a lot is caught by the checksum itself. I would simply say your map is fucked: try opening it in Uber Analyze Tool to see how the map structure looks.

not its not just one map. every custom map i put in the game just sends me back to lobby. The weird thing about this is, i can see the selection for the maps. They just wont start up.

nope, infact i just softmodded my xbox, and this is my first time trying to install other people custom maps. i basically have only the stock maps right now.

okay so your new maps are in your halo2/maps folder right? with the main menu? and all the stock maps.... If you can't do it that way via softmod my bad i hardmod all my crap.
