Yes that actally makes perfect sense. :)

Nice job shade, re-refrencing the BSP Model data is a bitch isnt it. ;)
Awaiting connection...

Yes. You're saying that it's possible that there are several sections of the map, that COULD be independent of eachother, but are all linked to the same shader. So, being the expert skinner I am (completely clueless), where does one look for bsp shaders, exactly? Is that something your average Joe Schmoe modder can get to, or is it something fancy?
Another question: It's all well and good to tinker with this map, since Shade released it, but are we also free to make actual mods and release them? Or would this be a violation of the rules here, or at least a violation of general etiquette? Would you mind, Shade, if some of us began making mods of this map and released them here?

im fairly sure skining a bsp is the same as skinning anything else

Actually i wouldnt mind if people made some new mods on my map... if it gives people another map to mod i say go for it :D

And for the bsp shaders just open the map in ADI or any other program open the sbsp tag then click dependancies and there should be a list of every shader that map uses ;)

Edit: actually if you are gonna mod this map please wait till after version 1 comes out before releasing yours thnx

Awesome, thanks. So, in version 1, will the freezes be fixed/blocked off? 'Cuz I was rackin' my brain trying to figure out what sort of mach to cover them up with.

OOOOhhhhh, my turn: How about the containment gate thing that bungie took out of the final version of the map? Yeah, that'd be my choice. It's probably longer than most other things, but I can be wrong.

Also, in the future for BSP conversions and MACH injection maps, how about possibly doing it on Lockout like cableroom or warlock or backwash? That way if you wanted you could incorporate weather.

Anyway, ciao. I'm just rambling on, so I'll stop.

Sweet freakin' BSP, by the way.

Is that rain i see or is it just fog? If so does that mean you added rain to ascension?

Anyways, nice job on the new theme, looks great!

If the BSP he added contains a weather polyhydral dependency then yes he added weather to the map.

Dont like it.

No need to flame me either.

Yes, I saw you said pretty much this was practise "stepping stone".

But it is dull as you said, and ugly.

Good go at it though.

yea as far as mods go, Its good, better than all the other crap ive seen up here.. very few things make me say "thats nice" "or good work". as far as fun factor, ehhhh not really gonna be there. Mods will get me excited again when we get to the "NMP" type of stuff again. Its hard to find the good from the bad here now... just looks like ppl will post any mod these days..

I'm not trying to be a buttkiss or anything, but I think all you naysayers are crazy. You're just not seeing the potential here. Sure it's not fun as it stands right now, but with the right setup it could be awesome.
So, are banshee blockers something that nobody has been able to edit yet? If they can be edited, you should bring them in (but leave plenty of sky) so you're not flying into invisible walls (they actually have an impact and you could get damaged/destroyed by slamming into them).
