well i agree but some sites only teach you how to mod on xbox live and tell you it is the only way. they never mention XBC or XLKai. So If Someone goes to learn how to mod at one of those sights they don't know its wrong because they think its the only way to mod.jlddodger wrote:I have been in several modded games on live recently, and I have identified two members of these forums that are actively engaged in Xbox Live modding for sure (I only have record of one gamertag i think). Also the forums have become (in my perception) increasingly inundated with XBL questions and spam. I would like to give those of you who apprach this issue from the because-i-can perspective an idea of why I (and I hope many other people) reject the idea of modding on Live.
1) I support the idea of no XBox Live modding. XBox Live is the one service that should be unaffected by modding. Some might claim that live is the most popular, and should have the additional functionality because it is a pay service. However, it is precisely because people must pay for XBox Live service that it should be left untouched. People want to get what they pay for and that means "people who follow the XBL code of conduct", which is a necessary agreement to have accepted before using Live.
2) No where does it say that you cannot be banned for habitually playing with modders. It is perhaps possible that Bungie does not, but it would not be difficult for Bungie to ban anyone who joins modded parties more than N times. I have always had a completely legit gametag, and I see no reason to bring doubt on my reputation by playing games with modded content. Just because Bungie doesn't, does not imply that Bungie can't. And should modding on Live become popular, I would predict that such actions will be taken. Consider the recent expansion of bans against bridgers and boosters. People who do not inherently do the "dirty-work" still get banned.
3) Why is XBConnect/XLink Kai not enough? Both services are free and widely used. It is my belief that the only reason you chose to go to the trouble of live modding is because it is forbidden. It cannot be because it is the only available outlet, I explained that above. It cannot be because you want to get to more people, because any person with the capability of setting up Live has a 95% (made-up number) chance of already having the necessary items to use XBC or XLKai. Also, anyone with a desire to use these services could easily pick up the necessary equipment (i.e. switch, hub, router, or second ether-card) for less than what it costs hold a XBox Live gamertag for a year. There is simply no need to mod on live.
In conclusion, not only is it wrong to mod on XBL because it affects the gameplay of people who pay to play Bungie's Halo 2, not only does the potential for extended bans remain, there is simply no reason to mod on Live beyond those valid reasons to mod on XBC or XLKai. Given the inherent risks of modding XBL, it can only be concluded that modding should not occur on Xbox Live.
P.S. I apologize for staying off topic. I apologize for posting in anger. I apologize for any typos or informational errors. I invite discussion of this into my PM's, I hope I never have to say anything about it in the forums again. Please do not reply to this message here.
I ask the moderators for forgiveness.

Please read the signature policies!Murderscenejunkie wrote:idk i just joined today,

Three lines of text maximum!
Or anything similar.
Many users seem confused as to the meanings of these said phrasings. Although I thought they explained themselves, it is only fair for me to tell you what they mean and why they are there.
The first one implies that your signature was either animated, oversized file-wise, or oversized dimension-wise. If you reuse your oversized image, your right to have a signature may be taken away. You can resize your image, or make a new one if it is animated.
The second one is self explanitory. Here is a reminder of the rules:
SIGNATURES
No animations!
Image is 500x120 or lower in dimensions.
File size is equal to or less than 75 kb.
Three lines of text or less
Guess not.
Signature exceeded 75KB.

Us at LostMods are sorry, The bandwith exceeded so we will have to wait. It will be about a week. It is sad to see bandwith exceed on a site though..
, I also would like to say, that most modders that are taking it onto Xbox Live that is considered illegal when done, Are taking credit for this mod, That modder Alphawolff that got banned took credit for Leap of Faith 2 several times.
If you see anyone playing this on Xbox Live please tell them it is illegal and also please say to not take credit for something they didnt make.
