The reason Bungie's pictures are much bigger while still having the same quality is because their build of Halo 2 uses a 1600x1200 framebuffer and I believe their images are anti-aliased as well. If we were to do the math and find the size difference between the standard 640x480, with theirs...it would be huge.
width*height*bytes per pixel
640*480*4 = 1228800 byte framebuffer
1600*1200*4 = 7680000 byte framebuffer
As you can see, their framebuffer is 6.25 times larger than the standard. The extra 6.15 megs of ram you would need to match Bungie's setup would never happen because Halo 2 is too tight on memory.

Unfortunately a trainer isn't classified as a mod 

Was this image taken with my trainer? If so could you explain what you were doing when you took it, what setup you have...stuff like this. If you want huge images, use that tut which you take lots of pic of a map then stich them together with a a program. Here is some examples I did a couple days ago.
