if u get sounds from hmt, extract them, use a sound editer to delete them and then add ur song and then usse hmt 2 inject it, it may work, but i am thinkin of doin it like u do skinnin, so i may be completely wrong... :lol:

besides, y would u want 2 change halo's music anyway? it's so great! ot do u want 2 put that music into multiplayer? :?

This is my first attempt at modding a map for Halo on Xbox. I call it Take Cover.

I am sorry, but I don't remember some of the people's patches I used for the textures and what not... Please post here if you need credit for anything and I'll be sure to acknowledge ya! :wink: This patch is for BG and is best played in a form of Slayer, I haven't actually tried diff modes. Here's the lowdown:

I patched the default with a snow texture (thanks to author whover u r). I then patched the weapons with I think it was a U.S. weapon patch to get the M16 model. I then modded a bunch of the weapon attributes to make this board fun to play! Some of these mods include:
Plasma Sniper Rifle (Shoots Extremely powerfull plasma grenades)
Frag Shotgun (Shoots multiple frag grenades... u'll see y later in this)
Power Pistol (This thing is DAMN fun! Hit someone with this weeeeee!)
Homing Plasma Rifle (One shot only, make it good!)
M16 modded for damage and with a scope

As far as the scenery, everything I did was placed there for a reason... spend some time playing it with people and u'll see what i mean... Each place as well as each weapon has it's strengths, but all have some weakness. The bases have slotted walls for sniping. The platforms above each base have some angled walls to catch grenades that you can fire from the secondary weapon of the modded ghost bomber (thanks to author again :wink: ). They then drop down into the base making it fun to rain hell on people and get the bombs where you want them to go. There is also a frag shotgun on each platform to rain on people's parades... just be carefull, you can get blowed up too, so fire a few rounds and teleport off of the platform! I place sniper platforms on each side so you can see the whole board from them and placed the power pistols there. I placed the ultimate watch tower pedistle in the middle with the homing plasma on it so you can cherry pick if that's u'r pleasure! And finally there are some hangers for your ghost bombers and a couple cover walls in the middle with teleporters to reach the platforms above the bases.

Okay so that's the jist of my first mod attempt ever. I know, a bunch of this if not all of it has been done before, but I didn't find any map with all the stuff i liked in one, so I decided to do one myself... Try it out and please post suggestions and what you think. Thanks!

Well, I just finished this yet I may be ready for an update already. I will be adding skins, I added some awesome sound effects that haven't been used yet... so I'll name em here in case someone says they done it first... they may have, but I haven't heard it. When I release the update it will have:

New skins for Hogs and Ghosts
Diff. Speed (only backwards for ghost bomber) u'll c y this is kewl when playin, that way it's hard to rule the sky when u can be plasma'd to hell. Tryin to escape in reverse is harder!
Slightly diff projetile damages and speeds
Diff sounds like a real heartbeat when you are close to dead, laser sounds for ghosts and weapons, new plasma sniper sound, and my personal favorite, the plasma grenades beep before killing the victim... that is the shiznit when u r playin... u hit em in the foot and they didn't know they were in trouble till their screen shook, well they'll know now about 2 seconds before they get nailed!

So this and more is comin in the update, but I need to know what u peeps think will be good. I may add some turrets to deter the ghosts a lil, not sure yet. LMK what u think will make this funner!

turrets would be good, just make em that as soon as you fire they reach their target, that way it'll be pretty dangerous to take up a ghost

it kinda sucks that you havn't got much feedback, but this is really a good map to play because it adds some more strategy with the thing above the base and that cool shotgun nader brings a whole new meaning to spawn rape

it be kinda cool to see the flags on top of the sniper perches just for a change too

I changed a few things for version 2 if I release it. I skinned the ghosts and hogs, and added covie turrets that hit their target asap! I also reskinned the building blocks and the bases so they are white-ish in color. I also moved some teleporters, spawns, and changed the force on the weapons as to not have the turrets fly all over the board.... I made MAJOR sound efx changes, pretty much everything redone, all with my own sounds. I'll post V2 if there is enough interest in it. I haven't gotten it comptletely finished yet, I've had too much fun playin it with buddies, so if there is the interest I'll get on the ball and as Larry the Cable guy would say, I'll "get er done!"

I, for one, would really like to see a ver. 2 of this map. The frag shotgun always cracks me up (although you could consider changing it to a rocket shotty, I love those). Go ahead and post it.

Too many things to name, changed skins, added covie turrets, changes many if not all weapon/vehicle sounds. Check it out, and let me know what you think. This will probably be the last post for this mod as I am workin on a new one. Thanks!

Awesome job on this mod!! It is one of our favorites. One problem though it locks up everytime you pick up the rocket launcher. Other than that this mod rocks. Very creative Ideas..

Sorry bout that, u can fix it with HMT

I was gonna have homing rockets but never got a chance to test if it worked. Must not have, you can change the weapon attribs with HMT. Hope everyone likes it... I have a wayyyy better mod on the way!

Your arent the only one. I wish I knew how the heck to do this or else I would fix it myself. Im just havin too much fun with all these mods right now. :P

yeah, froze for me too. but other than that it's an awesome challenge for snipers :w00t:
