Snipeway Speedball (BG)
This is a facelift for UM's Snipeway NMP. The map size is the same but it is laid out like a speedball field with barricades. This map supports slayer, t/s, and ctf. I did not mess with weapon set as I kind of liked it that way.
I would like to thank UltraMagnus for the inspiration for this mod. My friends and I had a blast with this level because it is so small. I figured I'd share it here to get some feedback and/or suggestions.
Sorry that I don't have a pic. I'll try to get one up later. Give it a whirl though...it's not too shabby. It is fun for ctf with 2v2 or more.
EDIT:: Also I'm thinking about having a small barrier come down from the middle of the ceiling. This would help prevent campers from lobbing 'nades across the room. LMK
Just added a SE pic as well. Because it is a small room with a ceiling this was the best angle I could do. Looks much better on the xbox though.

Thanks for the input. I put a bit of time into planning the layout. I didn't want it to feel too crowded but still have plenty of cover. The low walls are at a height to where you can shoot over them or duck below and hide. I just wanted it to be symetrical. Where I situated the flags seemed to be the best choice. The invasion game type works well with this map as well. I thought about also adding the KOTH points. I'm still not sure if I want to do that though. Rockets are just asking for a bloodbath.

Yeah, I'm with my clan member on this one, and I would just like to say, I really would like you in our clan, if powerpak agrees to let you in. Also I would like to promote/ask you opinion, of how i did on my first foray into the world of sparkedit, if its good then i can keep working on it, if not sadly i shall retire from doing sparkedit, but newayz, i cant beleive that is blood gulch, just curious, did you just make a little room in the air, and move weapons, scenery, and spawnpoints up there? Not being mean, btw, i wouldnt never be able to do that, took me like 4-5 hours to make a small sniping tower, lol, 9.9/10, just because i think you could put some more, rooms/tunnels, or something in it.powerpak wrote:good job, sweet mod
Glad you like it. UltraMagnus first made this room as part of his wonderful NMP pack. It was just an open room with snipers and spawns. It was/is fun but I didn't find any long term playability in it. The room is just up from the floor of BG...btw.
I'm kind of biding my time on making a larger room to see what becomes of UM's UltraBlocks. I've got some great ideas and can't wait to try them out.
Thanks for the clan offer. Are you meaning a Halo playing clan or a modding clan? If playing, you may want to reserve your invite until you actually see how I play. I don't time the p/u spawns so I usually get spanked by those who do. I fare okay in a match where it is just straight play though. PM me if you wanna.

You mean a small ramp up against the back wall? people are going to do that easly they always find an easy way like me and sain dont get mad but u suck at sparkedit the only good one you did is that tree one. and im goin to try this map out right now and i'll tell you weather it is good to my likeings

Glad you like the map. I think that the simplicity in design and close quarters make it fun to play.

This mod kicks ass, play it with 100 kills with snipers, thats what me and my friends do. As great as it may be, we found a few problems, on the blocks there is an invisible "excess" like in the little wall at each base, if you stand up, your little circle is pointing at the guys head, but it doesnt turn red. Other than that its great
