[CE => XB] Conversions MapPack - TESTERS NEEDED

The Status
The community currently has not seen a release of more than 3 CE to Xbox conversions that I know of personally. If anyone knows of anymore please post them in this thread to be included in the pack. Before you ask Fissure Falls is not being included since it was allready in NMP2.

As new CE maps are released please make them available to this thread by posting a link to the forum thread where the mod was released.

The Goal
My goal for this MapPack is to get every CE conversion compressing accurately and able to be played on system link with every game type possible supported.

This conversion MapPack is to be installed with HMPi (Halo Map Pack Installer) and installed effortlessly, just like NMP and CXE. All xbe big cache patching and build number's will be handled automatically by HMPi, so there is no reason to work on any of that. Just need reviews of the maps and patches when necessary. :)

Please test and post reviews as new CE maps become available.

Things to answer when testing:
Is the map compressable?
Is the map system linkable?
Does every game type load with default game settings?
Does every game type load with custom game settings?
Is the map laggy on system link? If so, with how many players?

If you are the designer of one of these maps then are you available to do some work on them if needed? If so, can you post in here as well?

    Supported Game Types:
    • Team Slayer
      CTF
      • - human weapons: flags wont spawn in
        - pistols: map freezes on load
        - snipers: you will play with only rocketlaunchers, and instead of the flag a rocketlauncher spawns in
        - no sniping: works fine
        - rockets: you will with FRG. and instead of the flag a FRG spawns in
        - rifles: flag wont spawn in, but in the place where the flag should be is a needler.
        - plasma weapons: flag wont spawn in, but in the place where the flag should be is a plasma grenade
        - shotguns: you will play with flamethrowers, and instead of the flag, a flamethrower spawns in. (BTW the environment can be set on fire, realy cool)
        - short range: a flamethrower spawns in stead of the flag, but there are shotties and pistols in the map also
        - normal: works fine

      • makes it freeze on load

im glad this is a new set btw, i think it will get more attention this way.
i think you should convert the most popular maps. the top _? downloads.

Confirmed system link, me and a few friends played NMCX on XBC the other day an it worked great, but the only problem is the flamethrower if u kill someone with it the boxes go out of sinc. So system link, yes, famethrower, no.

Yeah this is a known problem with the flamethrower if I am not mistaken. It was removed from Fissure Falls for NMP2 because of that reason, right?

I would lke to see Ice world in there too. Its nice and small and made using A CE object. These map conversion are great but they are getting entirely too large for reasonable xbc size games. I know its impressive when you make something huge, but I'm all about replay value. And lets be honest who plays sidewinder anymore? Nobody because its too big and drags on.

Also these maps come precompressed right? So since viperneo is obviously the man, all he's gotta do is replace a different compressed map with every conversion and the mappack will make itself right?

If you go to this link you see a topic from (I believe it was swese, dunno for sure) about camtrack arena and that it is "in production" so!

Just so you know...you first need permission to convert someones map(im talking in referance to snakes map) Just so you all know :wink:

you could fix all of those probs of the conversions by injecting the bsp, models, bitmaps yourself again over wizard

I actually found the flamethrower, but it's invisible, there's no HUD animation for it, and it doesn't do anything.

yo SON, convert the HALO PC MAP..........

it looks like HALO (2nd level) .. and has sidewinder type bases.

that wud be HOT, SsSss HOT

i do belive u should convert uh Night Camp CE cause theres no new weapons and just the normal set for vehicles all some rhinos maps also lost cove and mabey warton cove would be sweet
