New Weapons (AOTCR) Beta 2 *update 2 V2 OUT*

Well, here it is, (For those of you who know what I'm talking about)
I don't have a way to take pictures yet, but I figured I'd release it anyway. Here are the details:

Weapons:
--------------------------------------

ION Grenade- Slams two highspeed ions togeather to produce a fairly good sized explosion. WARNING: Large blast radius and damage
<Replaces Plasma grenades>
<New Sounds>

Kamikaze Grenade- More usefull in Co-op. When you know your going down, why not tahe the ********er's with you? Throw a frag and everything within a very large blast radius goes down with you. <Replaces Frags>

Railgun- Magnetically fires a Depleted urainium slug and extremley high velocities. Capable of penetrating most objects (except BSP), it can be used to take down multiple targets. Very high damage, but the weapons has to recharge between shots. Recharging takes a few seconds, and reloading the clip of 4 slugs takes the normal ammount of time.

<New Sounds>

Mortar Launcher- Basicly a ION grenade in a tube, the Mortar Launcher fires a single wraith mortar. Sounds innocent right? The mortar is actually an unstable ION grenade that explodes on impact and leaves a flaming blue tail on the end. Devastating to groups and vehicles alike.
<Replaces Rocket Launcher>

NOTE: There are no "New" Vehicles, they are only edited... for now.

Vehicles:

Wraith: Actually something to be afraid of now, the new wraith fires 15 of the unstable ION Grenades in a spread pattern. Absolutely devastating to anything unlucky enough to get raped by the falling orbs of death.

Also, please don't use any of the sounds without asking first.

MAJOR UPDATE: The kamikaze grenade actually works now. I forgot to actually give it a blast radius before :oops:

Uh, yeah... It stands for Assault On The Control Room. There are no pics or model changes... YET this is only a beta. You can expect this mod to grow. I just released this as a progress update :)

Comments and suggestions are welcome. Only you guys can make this mod better. In V2 I intend to have a few new weapons and possible the Vampire from Nightwinder if Mr. Murder dosent mind. Here's a list of current updates:

V2:

Barrel rolling Banshee (Capable of... well barrel rolling...)

Maybe some new models, if I can figure out 3dsMax... If only I could still use milkshape..

Improved Railgun (Hopefully I can get a scope to see through Non BSP items)

and whatever else you guys can think of :)

PS... Has anyone found the egg yet? It's not really that hard to find...
PPS... It has come to my attention that the plasma pistol rounds seem to bounce off any surface. THIS IS NOT THE EGG, IT WASN'T EVEN INTENTIONAL

Wha? It is assault on the control room... it will either be cache000 or cache001. If this wasn't what you wanted, it's because i'm not quite sure what you're talking about.

lol sorry my fault :P ok what i meant was....newbie here ;).....i donwloaded the first file for all the cool wepons and i used pdx-pom3 to patch the cache002 file is what i thought i had to cache and then i wanted to know what board do i use to play it? bloodgulch? or is it a SP board i load up? and one m,ore thing, when i did the patch it had errors it said well trying to patch it, it said it wasnt matchiong up, but im guessing thats cause i was using cacefile 002 instead of what you just said by using 001 or 000....anyways thanka for the help, if you could just tell me what cache file and what board i load up to play it on?

Yeah, it's for SP. what you should do is clear your cache files and then run Assault on the control room. Then exit out and apply the patch to the new cache 000.map file. The only time you ever patch cache002 is when you patch the UI, like in my second file :) Hope that helps.

My grenade throwing instincts keep getting me killed.

Cool Mod! I like the idea of the wraith shooting 15 mortars at once. Yeah put in a Battle Rifle and SMG and get rid of the Kamikazee Grenade.
