Nightwinder CXE edition 'Update 3'

Murder is having problems uploading so it is my privelege and honor to post it for him so here is his latest, 'hot off the press' version.

-the lighning cannon has a new model and projectiles and is no longer homing, but moves twice as fast.
-the screamer moves faster as it approches you and has a faster final speed and chain spawns more screamers that drop to the ground (run!)
-the invisibilty respawn times are longer
-the 3rd floor of each base red and blue more compact.
-sightly improved handling on the vampire
-there are more weapons in ruins of 3rd base

Thanks to my good friend Goatninja the update made the promised release date.
Have added all i promised and i will try to continue the updates as long as feedback is forth comming because without it i cant do what you guys think it needs ok.

Some good feedback needed ok good or bad so postup.

Thats as you can see the old plasma rifle just starting to get used to milkshape 3d and its going well.
Poke has kindly agreed to make some collision models for my new weapons that im putting together so it prevents people walking straight through the end of them but im sure im forgiven for now.
Ive got lots on the go at the moment but as promised will contine to update Nightwinder as i learn more.
And thanks for the compliments but lets have some feedback to ok.
And just a quick point about the darkness level, sidewinder is (unmodded) a big map so with loads of extra stuff the map does feel a little smaller but if your only playing splitscreen its a massive map to find the other player on so its really designed with 6-8+ players in mind and if you try out the game type rules i included for assassin its a whole new level or simply have one team against a lone gunman everyone with 5 lives and test yourself its a tense game.
The level of darkness becomes worse if you have 4 players on one screen which i can understand is frustrating but im sure someone will crack the nightvision thing soon so stick at it ok.

You should make the frag nad into a needle bomb...that would be cool..but i dont know what else to say..the map rocks. I guess you could add more new models :D

Well at the moment i have other plans for the frag grenades but i need to work some stuff out before i post it but dont worry its the only weapon left i havent done alot with so its definatly due an upgrade.
Any other ideas ?????

i had made a new tank model but of course most of you know i dont mod anymore i spend most of my time helping people with other things the new tank had just two treads not four it was sweet

where can i fing Halo CXE cause i cant get NMP to work so i thought i would try CXE but cant find it anywhere please help

Sorry not to laugh but lol, Halo CXE isnt even out yet at the moment we are still doing the UI and some finishing touches to some maps. The thirteenth map i am doing at the moment and have the new models mostly done but i need someone to make the sounds for them, so if anyone out there is good with sounds hit me up on aim. BTW MR Murder, very nice map, much better than the beta i tested. Also for the frag grenade i was thinking something along the lines of maybe a ninja star or something lol that would be tight maybe a homing one. But u know best so mod away and keep up the great weapon modeling. :wink:

Heres an idea. You should change the lightning cannon's projectile to something that looks like a lightning bolt....and it would be shot out like a laser beam. Or make just make at laser beam that would be cool :D

Hey Ryu have you fired the weapon in game yet??? its a massive ball of electricty already so its pretty much what your askin.
Unless your thinking like the 343 guilty sparks electricty thing from the Maw well that has possibilitys im using else where so just going to have to wait for that one but thanks for the feedback.

I love this mod, but I dont like the fact that by going thru a few warps you can get an easy 10 second flag

Well its not a ctf mod but for a quick fix to that problem just open the map in spark edit sink the first teleporter from red bridge to blue bridge and visa versa that way the teleporters are back to the origonal config.
Should stop those easy grabs for the flag and extend the game time alittle.
Also you may want to diable the banshees and just have the Vampires that way you get nightsight back on the Photon Rifle and its not so easy to score as you can take out the Vampire easy enough. Cough screamers cough longrange cough Carbine cough shortrange cough ahh thats better i hate getting hints stuck in my throat.

Ok well ive sorted out the stuff i wanted to do with the frag grenades so im putting the question out
What does everyone think to stun grenades ?????
If you get hit stunned perminantly until respawn after you die
im tryin to get a 30 stun to work no luck as yet post up ok

That sounds like a eally good idea!!
