Nightwinder CXE Edition

Ok I was asked by goatninja to redo my nightwinder nmp for the CXE team and well here it is.
Added alot more new stuff including
4 new projectiles, new vehicle The Vampire, extra scenery from single player levels and new effects and explosions hand made by myself.
I hope its an improvment on the last version and before i get 30 posts about how dark it is its a lighter version perasonally i find it to light but nevermind.

Hey,
I've tested this map for MrMurder and the only thing I can say is: Download now
There are some cool weapons like:
- Rippa rifle
- Ion storm gun
- Carbine
- Lightning canon!!
- Photon rifle
- and more
And a new vehicle, the vampire! It's a hovering warthog, but the handling is perfect. It has sweet projectiles and the sounds just kicks ass (check the readme if you wanna know why

,lol)
Also he added a third base with 2 banshees, so it makes out for a great map for teamplay.
Only thig that I can say to my mate MrMurder is keep up the good work!

Way to go Mr.Murder!! Congratulations on getting the hoverhog to work, it sounded pretty difficult to do but we're glad you did it!!! Thanks for working so hard on Nightwinder CXE!
I can't wait to try out the handling of the hoverhog and the ion storm gun!

Ok ive just added some perfect panels to the level instead of the ones i made used the Tool proggy in HEK for the collision models so i will be updating soon.
Seriously one more person says 2 dark im going to snipe em LOL if anything its to bright now but i lightened because of the amount of "to Dark" comments i got.
It seriously depends on your tv ok on widescreen tv's it tends to look alot darker than it really is on regular tv's its not a problem so sorry about that and making it lighter would seriously defeat the point a bright Nightwinder one word

But like JKJK said ppf it with spring sidewinder if you want daylight or if i get round to it i will post a daytime patch ok.

EDIT: Ive just remodeled the Lightning Cannon as well its um a little well sorta different The pics are from unmodded sidewinder easier to spot huh.

I have 2 questions. 1. How the hell do you make such cool effects?! And 2. I put the vampire into AOTCR, but the engine sounds are screwed up, it hear the new on for a second but it cuts back the the normal one. Any ideas?

Yah i had the same problem when i first injected the sounds over the hogs it seems they have the engine rumble sound tucked away somewhwer and i couldnt find it so i used the ghosts looping sound so use those and change the tags in the Vehi tag for lsnd to that.
As to effects im just starting to understand how the game uses the Point physics of certain effects and im able to make them do more complicated things
For example the Point physics refer to how the object should react in the game if it were dropped like rubber as it hits the floor and bounces, vacume particles stay where they are, lightweight particals drift off in the wind etc.
Like the Photon Rifle explosion I redrew the bitmaps for an effect in photoshop and imported them over the water burst and water ripple effect, then using the needlers and plasma grenades explosion i changed some of the Point physics and added in my new bitmaps for the contrail and explosion
Then in HMT i changed the particals of the effects to draw the bitmaps at lots of different angles rather than one or 2 so the explosion looked bigger and more dramatic.

Yeah..
This mod is awesome!!!!!
You start to play and you are so amazed of all the new effects and new models that you forget to breath!
So be carefull when playing.
While playing you find out new things.
Eg -if you shot with the Rippa frontal on a shield
(it came back and you will see a firework of coloured effects.)
-secoundary fire for a weapon ->push L (weapon? find out yourself)
... and much more!
See that new lightningcannon...
i wont wait to have the update.
