HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

This is for BG. The cool thing is that you should be able to patch this over any modded or unmodded BG map, because it only changes bitmaps. Here's what it is:

So far I've replaced or changed every surface in BG except for the sky. This is all my own work. It's a real cool change from the original BG.

- Red striped canyon walls.
- Ground paths are now dry and cracked
- Grass is now barren dirt
- All vehicles are made of wood (scorpion looks awesome up close)
- Cool tires for warthog
- MC's suit is made of wood
- Both bases are now made of wood
- Rock bitmaps edited
- All plants changed to shades of brown


Possible upgrades for the future:

- Old west guns
- Chaps for MC
- New red/blue logos
- New rims for warthog, I was in a hurry with these
- New sky/moons
- Cactus


It would be great if someone could post some good screenshots of this for me, I don't have a video in card on my computer and I know some people won't download without pics. Give me some feedback, and any ideas you have to make it better, things you like or don't like about it. If anyone with modeling skills wants to convert a tree to a cactus, let me know. I'll take care of the skin. It gives has the feel of the old west, so if you have any ideas along those lines let me know. Thanks.

Ya thanks a lot. They're a little small...but beggars can't be choosers. FYI, if you save a pic as a .jpg instead of bmp you'll save a lot of room. Jpg is a lot smaller, so you can have much bigger pics that use up the same amount of space. Thanks.

This looks pretty cool, I'll have more to say once I try it, but the cracked earth looks like there is a distractingly high amount of contrast between the ground and the crack making it almost a stark pattern, but that could just be the screen shot, keep up the good work!
