"bye bye nmp" yea ok... i dont get that... nmp is about the maps... not so much the ui...

nmp isnt going anywhere, it might take the whole ui thing away and making seperate copys of halo but as far as it stands....NMP has made the majority of the maps that i think are awsome and play the most, they are still the king of modding levels! The poll at the top that i made isnt trying to take them out of business lol, i meant i was asking would u rather do this or patch uis in seperate copys of halo. The maps they make are still sweet ass, so dont take this the wrong way Ultra.

Sounds great. I take my xbox to work and play at lunch so having something like this would save a lot of hassle copying cache files and get another game or two into lunch time. I hope you get it to work from ppf files that would save me tons of memory!! Keep up the good work.

I have HCE V0.8 beta 2 and it is pretty much what you are talking about.

i have a backup of every map's fresh cache (except my SP-MP conversions that don't compress, then i have those maps as the backup), so when i want to play a map I just load it into the cache (no more going in HALO and having to play the level), patch it with all my PPF's, and play HALO!

For all my SP->MP conversions I edited the UI so I can remember which maps they replaced.

To get it, go to

http://www.xboxwarez.tk/

register on the forums, and ask to become a betatester. Then you will have access to the betatester forum, which will have a D/L for V0.8b2 it will probably be a while before it shows up on xbins

Just remember, its a pre-release so it will have some bugs, but nothing major, it works pretty good. the cache save/load is the best part.

I just tried HCEv07 and i was wondering if there was an option to choose a pre patched cache file. that way it would copy it to the cache drive and then run halo at the same time. also, would it would be possible to have backups of each maps original cache file so you wouldn't have to load up the correct map in halo before you can patch it with HCE.

these are some options i would like to see in the future

nice program, keep up the good work

You could just keep a backup of the cache files and manually copy them over. I personally use the file explorer in UnleashX to do this, but any file browser app (boxplorer, xcommander, etc...) will work. It doesn't take long at all to do, much faster that running Halo every time. It's also a huge time-saver when testing numerous ppfs that don't have the undo feature.

be patient, it took a while for me to become a betatester on there. I was driving myself nuts trying to find it on the web (xbins was my first stop, no luck) i was checking the HCE forums at least 3 or 4 times a day for about a week until i became a tester.

Boy, aren't i a celebrity now, just because I have 0.8 8)

Betatesting

Their turnaround time is pretty impressive..
just consider all the request that they are getting.
I applied to become a betatester on the 6th of August,
They replied and gave me the access on the 9th.
These guys have lives too.
when i get home today im gonna find out what's new since i've been
using hce7

For those of you who requested and still waiting for you reply
God Bless
I'm Pretty sure you'll get a reply...the more testers they have, the easier
it will be to find and eliminate bugs..
