My thoughts exactly. I am proud to have had my small part with both teams. Thanks to all for the opportunity.Gabs wrote:Oh yea. Betas are great but now I get to play against the masses...and probably die miserably.

I'm Greatful
I would be very ignorant for n e 1 who enjoys the mods and mapacks and all the cool things that are put out by these talented individuals not to say thank you.

Wondreful job guys. I am a true noob, I just found out about halo mods yesterday. It was so easy to use.
One question though. I have no clue how to put mods on my box, ive read a tutorial, but i dont know how to make a blank cache file.
Is there anyway i could use this program to install other ppf files that i have downloaded?
Keep up the good work

It sounds like your d/l may have just corrupted somehow. Try re-downloading it and see if that fixes it.Donsta731 wrote:AJay wrong forum go to www.halomods.com/forums to learn how to mod

it says this right after the creation of default.xbe.ini i think..

Hope that helpsJust fix whatever it says is wrong then continue on. If there is an error that you cannot get past then save the debug.log file and get in touch with Reddog or myself online to try and resolve the issue.

The installer is looking for your game in the directory F/Games/Halo. Unfortunately, when you use hddloader it saves your game in a folder called pxgame (or something like that...been awhile since I've used hddloader).FaaTMaaJiK wrote:hey i have a problem with the default.xbe file... i just put a fresh ntsc copy of halo on the xbox... but whenever i try to install nmp2 it says this:

You can fix this problem one of two ways. The easiest would be to find which pxgame folder Halo is in, rename it to "Halo" and move it to the games folder on your F: drive. Look on your C drive for items.txt. If you have that then it will say which pxgame folder halo is in.
Or you can figure out which pxgame folder your halo is in and enter that whole path into the installer (under where you enter your IP number). Ex: F/hddloader/pxgame01.

It still sounds like you are having a conflict between the directory where your game is and the directory the installer is looking for. Using XBMC as a dash shouldn't have anything to do with the problem.FaaTMaaJiK wrote:it says the directory does not exist...
Try this just for giggles. Have your game folder named as HaloNMP and put it directly on your F drive...not under any other directories. In this folder all you need is your original halo default.xbe and the maps folder.
Then on the installer set it to look for F/HaloNMP. By doing it this way you will eliminate any conflict in finding the right directory.
Once installation is complete launch it from XBMC to see if it works. If that works then you can re-name/re-locate this folder back to where ever on your hdd you want it.
