Haha, I was just thinkin I should give it a shot when I read that. MaCeGac great job, we need people to keep doin what you're doin, gettin rid of the overlapping blocks. I've never played counterstrike so I don't know what that level really looks like. I could skin it completely different. If anyone has any good ideas PM me or just respond in this thread.

It's hard to be creative skinning this one, cuz all the walls and floors are the same material. You gotta use the same shader for the whole thing.

a very nice gameplay mod, i like how u have to put yourself in real danger grenading yourself up to a rocket launcher or power up

Why would you skin this level? Its meant to look like that, just some things in the level need to have brick bitmaps, and some wood ones i think.

Can someone answer this?:

Howd you make the ditch? Is that like a remodeled ghost/warthog and injected? How'd you make the four buildings have little slopes at the top, etc?

he already stated above that this is a ce object converted to xbox as an extremely large piece of scenery. . . see when he said "thanks to <insert name here> for helping me recreate this is 3dsmax"?

that means he had to do it in ce then he converted it.

This is definately NMP material as soon as the final version is released. Very nice job MaCeGaC! I'm very happy to see that it's possible to create your own huge scenery pieces like this in HCE and import them. Xbox really needed this, it's falling so far behind the PC version since HEK and HCE were released.

BTW, in 3ds max, how do u import and export models as .obj files. Or is there another way that u used to oinject these pieces of scenery. Get back to me on this as soon as possible. Cuz as we speek me and a team are woking on Burial mounds for Halo CE and the sooner I can get this 3DS Max tghing down. the sooner u'll see the map for it. :D . Also what tool in 3DS Max do u use to make like the ground and stuff. Thank u ttyl.

Great map layout. The only thing my friends and I had a problem with was the one rock that lets you up to the flag. Only 2 people out of 8 could get up the rock. It was quite amusing but then people started to quit. Just wondering if you could maybe use a bigger rock or one with a wider place to stand.

this is a great map

but like haloslayer said, it is quite difficult to get up those rocks, maybe just put ramps or model your own easily mountable rocks?

maybe if you broke it up into pieces in 3dsmaz and imported them as seperate objects (i dont know how that would go with the space available, but anyway) then you could easily have different textures and shaders for the different bits,

also i found a spawn point outside of the map, and if one person stands in the creekbed another person can shoot the bottom of the map with the tank to kill em ;)

otherwise this is a great map, and will only get better :)

This is nice! Would it be possible to make a medium sized level model in 3D max, skin it, and then add it into Halo xbox as scenery by replacing the level BSP? Or did you do that? Can't wait for the updated version!
