It should be possible, the needles aren't really a big deal at all, the needler itself is what takes up a lotta meta space, same with the flamethrower so I'll ask around with some people who are good with model injection, I'm not sure how to do the multiple writeovers. Pokecancer's original injection program had a multiple inject feature and he told me that it's gonna be incorporated into his new app eventually.

I have patched the Blood Gulch cache003.map from my xbox with the starwarsfinal ppf and then I opened it with spark edit (thanks Genocide414) I compressed it and replaced sidewinder.map in my map folder. The ppf file is for BG and it is not in the official NMP map pack yet...so it does not overwrite a specitic map (it can overwrite any one). Yes after patching you save it as compressed to the map u want to overwrite and don't forget to hex edit the file so that instead of "bloodgulch" in the cache file it says the map you are overwriting.
Now when I try to load StarWars in my game it counts down to the loading message and then just sits there. (like chapel used to do before the fix) The game doesn't freeze because you can still reset the clock to count down again. Anyway I know you mentioned needing to HEX edit the cache file as quoted above.
I don't know what to HEX edit. I have a hex editor and know the basics but what value should I be editing? If I want to just replace bloodgulch.map would that be a shortcut?

When you open the map in the hex editior look right there at the top. Where it says bloodgulch needs to be changed to sidewinder. That's all you'll need to do.PacoSuave wrote:I have patched the Blood Gulch cache003.map from my xbox with the starwarsfinal ppf and then I opened it with spark edit (thanks Genocide414) I compressed it and replaced sidewinder.map in my map folder. The ppf file is for BG and it is not in the official NMP map pack yet...so it does not overwrite a specitic map (it can overwrite any one). nice improvement! don't think your spawns changed. probably have to do them with SE and not the patch. your damage for most guns are pretty high tho. not a fan of the "shotgun" but you like it that way. maybe you just wanna repeat the starwars music in the background and not all the other robot-like sounds.
I couldn't agree more man, lol as much as we like R2-D2 it's kind of ear splitting and annoying after a while, so maybe in the low version / no version for the bg music kill the robots!jkjk wrote:maybe you just wanna repeat the starwars music in the background and not all the other robot-like sounds.

Same here. I'd rather hear a longer loop of music with no other sound effects. Perhaps even the Imperial March music instead. Sorry to have come out and said this after the final version has been released. Very cool mod though.Bassist-X wrote:I couldn't agree more man, lol as much as we like R2-D2 it's kind of ear splitting and annoying after a while, so maybe in the low version / no version for the bg music kill the robots!jkjk wrote:maybe you just wanna repeat the starwars music in the background and not all the other robot-like sounds.

Okay. There are going to be 2 versions. 1 is going to have the original BG background music. (birds and stuff). The other is what u here now. I'm fixing the Lightsaber to look less liks a night-stick that u beat people up with and i'm getting rid of the FLYING TREES lol. Thats wat u get when ur friend wants to "help"....more trouble than it's worth.

Re: whats the difference
I should just refer you to the threads regarding CXE but anyway Halo CXE is a branch of NMP which features a remade Halo and interface with modded maps. NMP will now only feature completely new maps such as SP->MP conversions or new HEK/HCE imported bsp, etc.IAmANoob wrote:what is halo custom xbox edition and will this patch work with all halos for the xbox and what is the file name i patch this on
This patch is for NTSC XBOX Halo only.
