Annoying AIM error

Post by Eaton »

Well, this error has been occurring for several months now. I have Visual Studio 2008 on this PC and I have AIM. Whenever I launch AIM, I get this:

This message appears twice. I just select no and AIM loads, but it is really annoying and it happens every time I launch the program. Anyway to fix it?

did you edit any settings recently because adsD looks a little similar to asdf.

other than that have you tried selecting one of them as the default debugger. It seems as though aim is just running into a error every time it loads so its not Visual Studio's fault more something has probably gone awry with your aim program

I have uninstalled it, reinstalled it, no luck. When I do debug it, there seems to be a problem with AIM getting the current date. But I have tried checking the boxes and nothing ever happens.

Try a different AIM client and see if it does the same thing.

AIM does a INT3 interrupt and returns a Debugger Exception which is caught by the Visual Studio debugger.

Either you fix AIM yourself or you disable the debugger somehow.

How would I fix it? I open it in the debugger, but it will not let me edit anything.

Get another Debugger like Olly Debugger.
