Sparkedit Error

Hi all, first things first, If this is the incorrect place where I ask this, I am sorry. If this question has been raised up elsewhere, I am sorry aswell. Just tell me.

I have Sparkedit for years now and it always functioned perfectly, I stopped using it for a year or so and now I wanted to mod a few things in HALO again, So I opened Sparkedit and it gave me an unexpected error Message saying: "An error occurred in SparkEdit Mapfile Viewer and needs to be closed down. We are sorry for......". I have tried the following things [With help of a friend, who brought many of them to my attention, but without success sadly]
  • Sparkedit version 3.1 / 3.2
  • Downloading and Installing Microsoft .NET Framework v2 and v3
  • Replacing the ntdll.dll file from windows/system32
  • Searched on Google for a similar error.
I have no idea how to solve it, perhaps one of u modding-Wizzards can shed some more light. If I did not gave enough information. Let me know.

Thanks,

Try updating your Direct X to the latest run time. (June 2008)

Done that now. It said I have the latest version [for XP]. But, I can play HALO on this Computer so I assume it is not that. [Same computer as where the error is on]

Hmm... Well, make sure the map your opening is a clean non-corrupted one and try re-downloading SparkEdit.

Like I said in my first post, I have tried several Sparkedit versions. And, Sparkedit doesn't even open, it gives me this error as soon as I click the Sparkedit.exe.

Sorry, I'm kind of tired. :x Anyway, I am not sure what the problem could be. Maybe someone else can provide the answer. Sorry I couldn't fix it. :(

That error message can give you more details. Copy paste them here.

They are un-selectable on any way, not right click, not ctrl+a no dragging nothing.
