Belkin 3port firewire card drivers?

Post by mr_penguin »

I found an older belkin Firewire pci card in my basement. I installed it but windows can't find the drivers for it and I don't have a CD for it either. I checked in windows update, Belkin's website, and google but I can't find the drivers for windows xp. I'm sure windows 2000 drivers would work with xp but I can't find them either. I don't have the cd that came with it.

It looks like this:

I think the model number is this:: F5U502 or this: N10117. Searching both of them gave me links to the card but not the drivers.

I have the same card, and I only found your query because my card has stopped working. Must have been some damned Windoze update. I found the installation CD (or DVD?) and it contains several applications but no drivers that I could find anywhere.

I have no idea whether buying a new (and different) Firewire card will solve the problem or not. It looks to me like a Windows problem rather than a Belkin one.

Did you get your machine working okay?
