just something i was thinking about....but its probably bogus.
but all people here seem to know lots of everything about computers.
well no duh...ha

any ways, i was wondering....you know how there are download Accelerators such as flshget witch use multiple sources to keep a constant high speed for a download rate....

well when i game in the interwebz....i get really cruddy connection...i know its cause of wireless modem stuff....but since i can get my downloads to stay at a constant of 100 kb/s....where as my games play at about 28 kb/s....is there such a software that accelerates you interwebz speed wile gaming like how download accelerators do it?

I wouldn't count on it. Download accelerators work by opening multiple download connections with the server. If you're in a game and you had multiple connections, I think the server would be trying to set you up in the game multiple times.

usually games send UDP traffic constantly, so it's like a stream. i don't think there's any software thing you could do other than make sure you're not torrenting. However, what i would recommend is checking out to see what channels your neighbor's wifi is on. my dad's house, all the neighbors had wifi, and they were all on the same channel, and we were getting terrible connection to the router. i just changed the channel it broadcast on, and that fixed that. if you still get bad signal to the router, try either moving closer, or getting a larger antenna/building a cantenna. i did the latter (at my dad's as well) with a coffee can. it was relatively easy, and worked out great.

Games usually do the same thing as Download Accelerators. Only thing you could do is get a Bandwidth manager and limit the amount of traffic from a single source so your game gets the most out of it.
