Is there any way to have an original xbox display through a VGA cable? I can't seem to find one, and I no longer have my soldering iron.
Would an xbox 1 be able to display on a widescreen monitor very well as well or would it look like crap?

I have tried this myself. I bought some dodgy Chinese device which said you coulg "Make game display more better". It outputs Xbox, PS2 and/or gamecube signals to VGA. I bought it, but then found out it only works for CRT monitors.
I looked around, and I think you need Xbox Linux to get it to display on a TFT monitor correctly, though I really have no idea. I am quite interested in this, so if somebody does know how to display Xbox on a VGA monitor, let me know to. Thanks.

It is possible, as I have made a cable myself. The problem is that it is very time consuming, and you need a custom VGA bios on your Xbox, which means that you need a mod chip.
If you are willing to get everything done, there is a tutorial to make the cable here. You have to get the bios on your own, sorry.
