Computer BSOD

Yesterday after restarting my computer because the moniter was a bit blurry. I started getting the BSOD. I fixed this once by going into safe mode then going back into normal, but the computer ends up shutting down and restarting when I go into Normal or safe mode. I usually get the BSOD when I am in normal mode. Would there be any way to fix this? Here is a pic.

Did you disable System Restore? If you don't know what I'm talking about it's still enabled (which may be good in your case).

Go into the windows boot options and try "Window's Last Known Good Configuration"...that will roll-back the latest drivers...

EDIT: I just saw the pic...win32k.sys? Not good...you may want to try the repair (not SYSTEM RESTORE!) option when you boot with the Windows CD (if you have it, that is)

It isn't disabled. I did try to do boot it up on last known good configuration but it would do exactly what it would do in safe mode...Restart.

Then repair the system file with the repair option. 99% chance that will fix the problem unless it's a hardware problem...

The computer didn't come with a CD.

What about a restore partition?

Without a CD you are pretty much limited here....

It's windows vista. I must have not said that. I upgraded to vista on March 17th. Would the disc I got to upgrade help at all? As of right now I think I may have to reformat but I will have my hard drive backed up.

There is a repair option on the disc. Use the Repair boot option.

I had a similar problem with Vista. After I did that never happened again.

Oh, how I missed Halomods using my LCD moniter. The computer was successfully reformatted with no loss of important files and I will switch to Vista later tonight.
