USB Enclosier for a regular 40 Gig HD

Post by Blarg-Blarg-Blarg! »

My dad works at an electronics place, and told me about a 40 gig Hard Drive he has. He says if he buys a USB encloser for it, he can connect it to my 360, and it will act as a 360 Hard Drive. Is that true? Is it possible to do it?

You mean a MainHard Drive? Or a Storage? I'm pretty sure if it's used
for a storage device, it can indeed act as a 360 harddrive. However,
I cannot be certain if it will void your warrenty. Those d***** Cooling
fans you buy at walmart void warenties

You can use it for media (Pictures, videos, music, etc), but you can not store saved games or other content on a USB device.

Plugging it into the USB port will not void your warranty. That wouldn't make any sense.
