Help, please. I think I've narrowed it down.

Well, I recently got an ATI TV Wonder USB 2.0 for Christmas. I've been trying to install it and I even got it working once and recorded a few videos. However, after shutting down my computer for like 3 hours, I came back and my capture card wouldn't work again. It hasn't worked since. So, I read the tutorial for getting the capture card to work on Vista. I tried both tutorials and neither one worked. Also, I have Windows XP Media Center Edition. However, I saw that in Vista you needed to go to the Device Manager. I went to my control panel and found "Sounds and Audio Devices". Under the "Hardware" tab, the drivers for the capture card are listed. So, I hit update drivers on all of them. (What "6 or 7 drivers" were referred to in the 2 Vista tutorials.) All of them updated correctly EXCEPT for "Video & Audio" and "AV Crossbar". Both of these have to do with the Audio and Video, so I figure this is why the capture card will not work. I get the error "Access is denied" while trying to update. Here's a screencap of the error:

I've tried installing from the internet (downloading the drivers), using the Microsoft installer, and installing from the CD. None worked, I get the same error each time. Anyone know how to fix it?

You are not using 64-bit by any chance?

I can't really help you here but is the file on the top left of your desktop Halo 3 related? *crosses fingers*

Yes, it is actually.
When Xbox Live is fixed and my pictures upload to Bungie, I'll be releasing it.
