Anything up to 50 degrees Centigrade is still acceptable on CPU temperatures. Acceptable GPU temperatures run higher. If that's your ambient case temperature, then something's wrong.

Even though it seems like it should be fine, check to see if your fans are running correctly, the airflow is going in a uniform direction with all of your fans, and actually check how many fans you DO have.
You either want your case fan to pull air from the inside of the case with the CPU fan pulling air from the CPU into the case area, or the case fan sucking air in, and the CPU fan pushing air from the case onto your CPU.
I myself have never seen a significant difference.

Oh, and make sure your case is well ventilated...like, no cords hanging around in the middle blocking airflow, and nothing is covering up ventilation holes on the outside.

Thanks man i just figured out my problem from moving my PC in a car one of my heatsink fans screws were lose that would have been bad  I tightened my screw and the temps max out at 37C and sit at 32 C when idle ! i have 5 - 120 mm intake fans i have an 80mm on top its exsaust i have 2 120mm exsaust fans and then all the fans on power suply and heat sink . I like this case alot .. mother board sits at 27 c :D

My computer used to run hot (About 65C), then I got a 250GB IDE, and dropped 3 of my SCSI's, case temperature dropped about 30C. I was pretty impressed.

Also, nice that you got your temperature fixed. I was surprised when you said it was over-heating at about 47C.
