entity and other halo2 apps not working [[edited]]

every time i get a program for halo2 modding
i use it once and then after i try to use it a second time,
it gives me that error

PLUS

in some of the programs like
entity and H2G
it shows me this when i try to do something like view bsp...

have you downloaded and installed DirectX the newest version?

No... i havent thought about that...

what would that do though....
would it fix the bsp viewing error
or the win32 error

That might fix the bsp error. I think it errors at when it's trying to find out your graphics card, that or you selected a bsp tag, and then collapsed the bsp tag type, so it errored.

Yea thats a directX thing clearly. Reinstall or update your directX that should fix it up

I am going to get the latest DX from the site as soon as possible too
see if thats the problem.

and i have the latest version of the .NET framework from the site...

Ok, i ran the dxdiag and it says that i have DirectX 9.0b

should it be working or not?

and i do have the latest .NET framework from the Microsoft site
