My mother brought me xbox from Greece...The xbox live settings arent placed and i have only XBOX (without any book with instructions).If you can PLEASE tell me the settings so i can write them and play halo 2 in Xbox Live.I have only the alternate MAC adress there(this is the only think thats correct.

First, don't double post.
Second, what you want to do is setup your system settings via the xbox dashboard. So, boot the xbox without a game in it. The green dash should appear and go to settings I think it was...(not at home to check). In their it should be pretty self explainatory. If you need more help, let us know. By then, I should be home or have seen it through more indepth for you.

I need to know the DNS Gateway and any settings without MAC adress and IP.

If you have the ethernet in your xbox...you shouldn't need to know any of that. It should automatically detect your settings. Maybe show me what you are having difficulty with.

Also, that's your second double post. Use the edit button or wait for somebody else to reply before posting again. I suggest reading the rules or atleast reading what I suggested the first time.

i know , but i realy want to play halo 2 on xbox live.i need the settings...well im trying to use my pc internet cable,it detects it but it always told me the settings are incorrect such as : DNS server.So i need to know what are the others xbox live settings.Well if you want to help me go into settings in your xbox xbox live settings and write them down to me please:(ex)

Here's an idea....Don't double post and bump like that again.

Do you have it set to automatically find them? Also, why not go to www.xbox.com to figure out your problem rather than waiting two days for other users to answer you.

dude heres where u can find that stuff,

1. hit start (bottom left corner on desktop)
2. then go to control panel
3. go to network and internet connections
4. then go to network connections
5. go to Local area network
6. a box should pop up with 2 tabs at the top
7. click the "support" tab the info should be there

one last thing if u dont want to mod why the hell did u join halomods?

run - command - ipconfig/all

That has all relevant information. Also your using a router right? or a HUB?

Yep , i tried entering them but they again dont work.it told me something about account and gateway.

I think maybe you need to head over to Xbox.com and call tech support or something, because chances are, no one here knows or has the patience to help you with this. :\

Okay not getting an IP, DNS, etc.

Heres what you do. Start->Control panel->Network Connections.

Right click your internet then click properties, go to the advanced tab,

And make sure all these are checked.



Then click Okay and restart your internet, then your xbox.

Worked for me before.
